Is all food included in the registration fee?

Answer: All food on the route is included with your registration fee: six total rest stops, including lunch on Saturday and Sunday. The Hilly also provides Schwann’s ice cream at the high school Saturday and at lunch on Sunday. Breakfast and Saturday Dinner are not included, but are available as add-on items during registration. Breakfast may also be purchased on-site with cash.

What are the start times each day?

Answer: We do not have a mass start each day. For the longer routes, Please plan to the road between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. The first rest stop opens at 9:00 a.m.

Does the Hilly offer showers?

Answer: Showers are available to all registered riders and volunteers. Users must bring their own toiletries and towel. The Hilly will have 8 showers (4 men, 4 women) in the Jr. High building on the back side of the building in locker rooms and a 6 head unisex shower unit on the front side of the building. Showers will be open from 5 pm on Friday until 4 pm Sunday.

Where do folks typically camp?

Answer: Most people camp on the Edgewood campus near the softball fields which are along Sycamore drive on the campus exit. There are also those who camp at McCormick's Creek State Park over towards Spencer Indiana, about six miles further west of Ellettsville. McCormick’s Creek is not affiliated with the Hilly and camping passes purchased through the Hilly aren’t valid there.

Can I ride an e-bike?

For the safety of all riders participating in the Hilly Hundred, we ask that if you have a class two e-bike (a bike with a throttle), we ask that you not use the throttle.

If you have a class one or three electric assist e-bike where you must pedal for power assistance, you are welcome to register and participate in the Hilly Hundred. We will have charging stations available in bicycle security.
